Torrgas has initiated a 100MWth biomass to hydrogen and carbon project (Hycarb) in Delfzijl the Netherlands.

The EemsGas project (formerly known als ‘Torrgas Delfzijl’) is aiming to build a commercial gasification plant in Delfzijl based on the Torrgas gasification technology. This plant will produce  bioSNG, biochar and steam from torrefied residual wood. The project involves the construction of a gasification plant, a gas cleaning system and a methanation system. The aim is to supply green gas to the natural gas network, and steam to the local steam network.
