Conventional Petroleum coke (petcoke) is delivered from oil refinery coker units or other cracking processes. Calcined petcoke (CPC) has the highest carbon purity and is used to manufacture energy, in aluminum, graphite electrode, titanium dioxide and other carbon-consuming industries.
Conventional petcoke typically contains 1% to 7% sulfur, which is released during incineration and is highly toxic. Our biochar has a significantly lower sulfur content (a total of 0.5-0.8%) than conventional petcoke, and is carbon neutral. Another benefit of biochar: The emission of sulfur is highly restricted
by EU regulations, which results in considerable demand for petcoke with a low sulfur level. This enables us to offer our customers a guaranteed long-term supply of char at a competitive price.
